CorelDRAW™ 8 defaults to Postscript® Level 2. If PostScript errors are received when printing, ensure that CorelDRAW's PostScript level matches your printer's Postscript level.
When using lenses, transparencies, or drop shadows the crispness of the output can be altered by changing the resolution that these items will be rendered at. This control is located in the Special Settings on the Miscellaneous tab of the Print dialog.
To print multiple copies of a document, ensure that the number of copies are set in both the application and printer controls.
In a Japanese environment, printing text using PostScript bitmap fonts which are also resident in the printer can cause problems.
Prepare For Service Bureau Wizard
When using the Prepare for Service Bureau Wizard with a Profile that requires the Corel document, the fonts can be copied by enabling Copy fonts using Font Reserve™. In order for this feature to work Font Reserve™ must be installed, and the fonts must be installed in the Font Reserve Vault. To verify that the fonts have been copied, cross-reference the fonts listed in the job info.txt created with the fonts in the folder. For more information on Font Reserve™ please refer to the documentation.
When using the Prepare for Service Bureau Wizard with a Profile that requires a DSC (Document Structuring Convention) compliant PostScript file, open the PostScript file in the Corel DSC Utility.
The Prepare for Service Bureau Wizard uses Service Bureau Profiles that can be created using the Corel Service Bureau Profiler utility.
DSC compatibility
The Corel DSC Utility can be used to convert a CorelDraw 8 PostScript file to a DSC compatible PostScript file. This can be done either by dragging a PostScript file to the Corel DSC Utility or its alias, or by launching Corel DSC Utility, and selecting File, Open. When the Corel DSC Utility is finished, a message will alert you to its success.
Tiled fills
In some cases, tiled fills will not print as the screen reflects. To avoid this problem, select the filled object(s) and convert them to a bitmap.
